About the Artist:
Mackenzie Thorpe is a celebrated British artist known for his emotional and heartfelt work. Born in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, he draws heavily on his working-class roots for inspiration, with his art often featuring themes of love, hope, and resilience. Despite struggling with dyslexia as a child, he pursued his passion for art, eventually attending the Middlesbrough College of Art and the Byam Shaw School of Art in London. Thorpe's work, which includes paintings and sculptures, is characterised by its distinctive style, which can be seen in his iconic "square sheep" and "duffle coat boys" characters. His art has achieved international success and is collected by public figures, including JK Rowling and the late Queen Elizabeth II.
