She moved to Florida before settling in Savannah, Georgia, with her husband, Naval enlistee Bob Berry. Margaret was a co-founder and long-time member (1970-2000) of Village Craftsmen, an arts and crafts gallery/co-op on River Street in Savannah. She spent 30 years traveling and exhibiting her art at invitational shows from Virginia to Florida. Her artistic contributions include illustrating the poetry book "Savannah by the Sea" and authoring the instructional art book "Delicate Scenes in Acrylics." Notably, her painting "Georgia's Thirteen Original Flags" is displayed in Memorial Hospital in Savannah, and she was featured in the 1980s publication "Artists of Georgia."
