About the artist:

Born in 1944, Bernard McDonald initially pursued a career in the electronics industry despite his passion for painting. It wasn't until the mid-1980s that he became a full-time artist. Often compared to renowned Edwardian artists like Scott Tuke, Melville, and Rose Barton, McDonald himself cites the Glasgow School as his primary artistic influence.

Entirely self-taught, his one-man shows have consistently sold out, leading to his paintings being featured in numerous collections.

This original watercolour painting by Bernard McDonald, signed by the artist himself, depicts a scene of a cathedral or cityscape in Europe. The painting, created on paper, measures 26 cm in height and 14 cm in width, and is beautifully mounted and framed, making it a perfect addition to any art collection. With its unique one of a kind (OOAK) appeal and production technique of watercolour painting, this artwork showcases the intricate details and artistic flair of Bernard McDonald's work, capturing the essence of famous places and architectural wonders.
