About the artist:

Gustave Lino (1893-1961) was a French painter best known for his landscapes, seascapes, and still lifes, with a particular focus on scenes from Algeria where he lived for much of his life. After being interned in Corsica during World War I, he honed his skills and later became a prominent member of the "Algiers School" of painters. His work is often associated with the "Painters of Poetic Reality" and is noted for its vibrant use of colour and a style that shows the clear influence of his friend, the French painter Albert Marquet. Lino's canvases often capture the luminous atmosphere of Algerian ports, markets, and landscapes, earning him posthumous recognition with the Grand Prix artistique de l'Algérie in 1962.

The GUSTAVE LINO Origin Oil Painting "Capri" is a small framed artwork created by artist Gustave Lino on canvas. The painting depicts a picturesque scene of Capri, Italy, with elements of sky, landscape, seascape, and floral accents. Featuring an impressionistic style, this original oil painting captures the essence of nature and the nautical theme with unique features such as being one-of-a-kind and signed by the artist. Perfect for art enthusiasts looking to add a touch of nature and craftsmanship to their home decor.
