About the Artwork

Tuscan Gold is a vibrant and uplifting original oil painting by internationally collected Yugoslavian-Israeli artist Heddy Kun. The composition depicts a picturesque Mediterranean landscape, where a small white cottage nestles amongst abundant flowering gardens beneath a broad leafy tree and distant rolling hills.

Dominated by brilliant golden-yellow blooms in the foreground, the painting radiates warmth and sunshine. Rich blues, pinks, purples and greens create a striking contrast throughout the garden, while Kun's confident brushwork brings movement, texture and vitality to every part of the composition.

The work perfectly illustrates the artist's celebrated approach to landscape painting, combining decorative colour harmonies with an expressive interpretation of nature. Rather than pursuing strict realism, Kun captures the atmosphere and emotional beauty of the scene, creating an image filled with optimism and Mediterranean charm.

Measuring approximately 20cm × 20cm (8" x 8") and presented within an attractive gilt frame with linen slip measuring approximately 39cm × 39cm (16" x 16"), this cabinet-sized painting offers exceptional decorative appeal and would make a delightful addition to any collection of Israeli art, landscape painting or colourful contemporary interiors.
