About the Artist
Henderson Cisz is a Brazilian-born painter celebrated for his atmospheric cityscapes, blending impressionist brushwork with contemporary urban themes.
Born in 1960 near Maringá, Brazil, Cisz showed an early passion for painting but initially pursued a career in banking before dedicating himself fully to art in the mid-1980s. Moving to London in 1986, he began painting portraits for tourists before establishing himself as a distinctive voice in modern cityscape art. His works capture the romance and vibrancy of cities such as Paris, London, and New York, often portraying rainy streets, glowing shopfronts, and bustling crowds. Exhibited internationally, Cisz has won accolades including Artist of the Year (2007) and the John Solomon Trophy, and his paintings are held in both private and corporate collections worldwide
