About the artist:
Peter Jamieson is a British artist born in 1945, known primarily for his paintings. He received a significant art education, attending Manchester University from 1964 to 1968, followed by the Byam Shaw School of Painting and Drawing in 1968-1969, and then the prestigious Royal Academy Schools from 1969 to 1972.
Jamieson's work often features subjects inspired by his upbringing in Norfolk, including landscapes, seascapes, and interiors, though he has also painted scenes from Venice and France. His works are held in notable collections, including those of HRH The Prince of Wales and the National Maritime Museum. He has received commissions from publishers like Edward Arnold and organizations such as the National Trust. Peter Jamieson has had solo exhibitions, including those at Abbott and Holder. His art has also been featured in group exhibitions, such as the "Open 2023" at the Grundy Art Gallery in Blackpool and the Royal Norfolk Show
