Born in Bolton, Grundy initially trained as an engineer before dedicating himself fully to art—a transition that marked the beginning of a prolific career. His paintings are celebrated for their photographic realism, natural colour palettes, and immersive depth, often described as “windows into rural England.” Grundy’s work earned widespread acclaim, including commissions from British nobility such as the Earl of Carnarvon, who invited him to paint the grounds of Highclere Castle.
